What’s Required in Every Home

To comply with current regulations, your property must include:

• Smoke Detectors

  • One in every circulation area (hallways, landings) on each storey.

  • One in the main living space used during the day.

• Heat Detector

  • Installed in every kitchen.

• Carbon Monoxide Detector

  • Required wherever there’s a fuel-burning appliance or flue. (e.g. gas oven, boiler, log burner)

  • These can be standalone and do not need to be interlinked.

  • Interlinked option available.

• Interlinking Requirements

  • All smoke and heat detectors must be interlinked - when one sounds, they all activate.
